Redlands Growing Together - A community garden inspiring, sharing and practicing organic and sustainable gardening
Oaklands Street Community Gardens Inc (OSCGI) is a not-for-profit incorporated group situated at Oaklands Street, Alexandra Hills Queensland. The garden was established in 2005 and operates under the licence of the Redlands City Council. It covers an extensive area tended by volunteers who give their free time and skills to keep the gardens growing.

We acknowledge the traditional owners of the land on which we gather, the Quandamooka people. We pay our respects to their elders past and present; and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are here with us today.

Oaklands Street Community Gardens Inc gratefully acknowledge Redland City Council’s funding contribution of $2,999.00 received under the Mayor and Councillor Community Benefit Fund Program and supported by Cr Rowanne McKenzie for the purchase of a standalone, portable solar powered generator kit.
Bendigo Bank Community Grants -2025
Bendigo Bank has awarded the Oaklands Street Community Gardens a grant of $5000 for the construction of Raised Garden Beds commonly called Ability Beds as they enable easy access for planting, weeding and harvesting of a wide range of fruit and vegetables. The Gardens gratefully acknowledge the generosity of Bendigo Bank and will keep you updated on progress of the project which is currently in the planning stage.
